A Sister is a Little Bit of Childhood that Can Never Be Lost

By: Lesley Posted in: Caribbean, Destination, Jamaica
Family Vacation Jamaica

My sister, Suzanne, and I share a special, unbreakable bond. The comfort and support are undeniable, but the laughter and fun times that we have together have created memorable moments that will last a lifetime.  She constantly keeps my glass full, my laughter strong, and my heart happy. My sister is a true friend to my heart, the laughter and joy of my soul, and the light of my life. There may be many years between us in age but not in love.

I smile because you are my sister, I laugh because there is nothing you can do about it! Unknown

Having a sister is like having a best friend you can’t get rid of.  You know whatever you do, they’ll still be there.  ~Amy Li

We no longer need words; we’ve perfected a language of expressions and body movements that far out-way any conversation or spoken language.

My glass is always full with love, and liquor, when Suzanne is around. ;)

We’ve reached new heights together.

During our week in Jamaica, it was her unconditional love and encouragement that made me realize that “sisters function as safety nets in a chaotic world simply by being there for each other” (Carol Saline).

We share childhood memories that bring the grown-up dreams alive and she has gone from the one who reaches for my hand to the one that touches my heart.

There is no one else that I laugh with more or more at. We’re so vastly different, like an apple and an orange; she’s clumsy to my coordination; calm to my anxiousness; artistic to my scientific; and timid to my adventure yet there is no one I’d rather spend an evening hanging out with and no one else I’d call to help me bury a body.

Do you have a special bond with your sister? Share below and let her know how much you love her.

She is absolutely amazing and I’m very blessed to have her in my life.

Now, if I can just get her to visit more often 😉

LOVING the pictures… Now I wish I had a sister too! Think it’s possibly a bit late to add that to my bucket list though 😉

I have a brother who I love dearly, but it’s not the same I don’t think

I have two sisters and three brothers. I love them each with all of my heart, but the relationship between sisters is something indescribable. I hope that you have that special connection with a friend or another family member.

      Thanks for reading,
