Go Anywhere with LOWA Casuals & Sandals

By: Lesley Posted in: Product Reviews, Reviews, Reviews & Giveaways
LOWA San Francisco GTX Ws

You might have noticed that the only shoes on my feet are LOWAs. It’s rare that I dress up enough that I can’t get away with casual shoes or sandals so LOWAs never leave my feet. I recently received two pair of LOWA casuals and I wanted to see if I could go the entire summer with only them in my wardrobe. It has been totally successful so far. From hiking to evening entertainment venues, I’ve worn my LOWA San Francisco GTX casuals and my Urbano Ws sandals all summer long.

LOWA Urbano Ws sandals

On a recent 7 day Sierra adventure road trip in California, I put both pairs of shoes to the ultimate test. I was in ankle deep water canoeing on Mono Lake with my Urbano Ws sandals. I hiked Rainbow Falls, Devil’s Postpile, and Mammoth Mountain with them as well. As long as they were secured tightly, even the tiny pebbles on the trails didn’t get trapped under my feet. They were comfortable and provided plenty of support. I was grateful for how cool my feet felt and I could cross the river at Rainbow Falls without taking off my sandals. When I was at Natural Bridges in Calaveras County, I didn’t even take them off to float through the caves. They were the perfect combination of support and comfort with the flexibility to wear them in water and on the trails.
LOWA San Francisco GTXWhen I felt like a needed a little more support or warmth, I wore the LOWA San Francisco GTX casual shoes. They feature GORE-TEX Surround Technology and an open sole construction that allows air to circulate throughout the shoe to keep feet comfortably dry in warm weather, yet they are waterproof. I hiked 400 steps to the top of Moro Rock in Sequoia National Park with my San Francisco GTX casual shoes and my feet didn’t feel hot or sweaty, yet there was plenty of support.

LOWA Casuals

During the evenings and when going out for dinner, the San Francisco GTX casual shoes paired well with a pair of casual pants or jeans. I’m usually in casual dining or evening entertainment situations so there is no need for dressy shoes.
LOWA sandals

LOWA casuals and sandals fit my lifestyle and my personal style well. All summer, I enjoyed hiking through the national parks and trails of California. I trekked to the tops of mountains and through streams and rivers. Everywhere that I went, I went with LOWA. They are 100% my travel shoes of choice.
