When I’m traveling solo, I’ve found that jewelry has been a great way to spark conversation. Parents easily converse with others while traveling. It’s easy to chat it up with other parents or even singles are drawn to Athena’s friendly, social personality, but when I’m on my own it can be more difficult to find connections or reach out to strangers. I’ve recently been introduced to Katie Miranda Jewelry and I was drawn to it because it inspires conversation.
People often say, “I love your necklace” or “What language is that?” and the conversation naturally flows from there. Many of Katie’s pieces have exquisite Arabic calligraphy on them with words of “Hope”, “Love”, and “Freedom”. Even the simpler pieces are so eye-catching that they rarely go unnoticed.
This weekend I’m heading to Coachella Festival, where jewelry and clothes are as much a vehicle for conversation as the music you’re enjoying. I’ve chosen the Katie Miranda Endless Pearls as my main necklace to bring along with me. The winter tones match everything in my wardrobe and the silver is reflective in the desert sun.
I love when I find people who take their passions and turn them into a career. That’s what Katie Miranda did with her jewelry. Check out her story here and you might find a piece that speaks to you.
