We had the pleasure of being the first guests to experience the new Legoland Castle Hotel California and it was amazing! It was a family adventure with fun Lego bricks around every corner. Come along for the ride as we introduce you to the new Legoland Castle Hotel California.
The hotel offers 250 premium Lego Castle themed rooms with your choice of Knights & Dragons, Royal Princess or Magic Wizard Lego Castle décor throughout. We chose the Magic Wizard room with glowing potions, spells, and Lego creatures. We were welcomed with a fun treasure hunt with Lego surprises so we could explore the hotel.
Our room included free premium breakfast, exclusive early Legoland California park access, a kids’ sleeping area with entertainment center, bunk bed, and pull out trundle. There were Lego bricks to build with in our room and a magical night light that lit up the ceiling above the bunk bed.
The girls especially loved the bunk beds and the adults loved having a separate room. Bunk beds are a fantastic idea for kids. They can sleep in the same room without being in the same bed, which helps avoid fighting over space or extended talking before sleep.
There was a separate sleeping area for adults with a king-sized bed and stunning wizard decor. Even the bathroom had wizard decor with Lego structures in every corner.
The new beds are extremely comfortable with soft, fluffy pillows, plenty of light, and lots of charging ports for phones and electronics.
The entrance to the hotel is full of surprises from talking portraits to musical seats and a playful slide. The hotel is located right at the main entrance of Legoland California and offers early access to hotel guests. All Legoland hotel guests get exclusive early access to select rides and attractions before the park opens to the public.
The Dragon’s Den Restaurant & Bar isn’t without its own unique play areas and fun Lego structures. Dragon’s Den Restaurant is where you will find the free breakfast featuring fresh fruit, smoothies, an omelet station, bacon, sausage, and hot and cold cereals. We were the first guests to dine at the restaurant. The food was delicious and the choices were plentiful, but the service got off to a slow start. Once they find their groove, the restaurant will be the ideal place to dine. There’s lots to keep kids occupied while you’re waiting for your food and the meals are tasty. After a long day of playing at the park, you’ll appreciate the onsite restaurant.
Outside, there is an entertainment courtyard with play zones for kids of all ages including a DUPLO tot spot, slides, an outdoor stage, and a cinema with seating. Additionally, there is a heated resort-style pool with LEGO soft bricks and interactive water play features.
The new Legoland Castle Hotel California isn’t cheap but it has every convenience to make your Legoland visit a success. What kid doesn’t dream of staying in a hotel with princesses, knights, and wizards? Athena already loved visiting Legoland California but now they’ve upped their game with the new Legoland Castle Hotel California.
