Riding in Style with Peg Perego’s 10+ Child Bike Seat

Athena is growing so quickly. It happens before my eyes. When she hugs me or wants to snuggle, I hold on for as long as I can. I’m never the first one to pull away. I’ll take every second of it that I can get. At this stage, she’s into riding her bike or her scooter or playing with friends. She’s showing her independence and developing a unique personality. When I find something that she loves doing with me, I’ll go to any length to make it happen. Peg Perego’s 10+ Child Bike Seat is the perfect addition in our active lives. I love biking and being on the trail. It was something I did every morning on my own because Athena couldn’t come with me. Now that we have the child seat attached, we go in the morning, in the afternoon, and in the evening. She rides in comfort and style on the rear-mounted seat and I get to spend time with a happy child. It’s win-win.

The seat was easy to mount with one-click installation. I actually did it myself without Darren’s help. Normally I’d wait until he got home but I easily attached it to my bike while Athena was having an afternoon nap.

The seat can reline and the footrests are adjustable so when we go for an afternoon spin, it’s okay if she falls asleep. She loves the breeze on her face and her helmet keeps the sun out of her eyes. The thermoformed padding gives extra cushioning and the suspension system takes in the impact of rougher terrain.

I love living in southern California. Even this time of year, the weather is perfect. We can go for morning, afternoon, or evening rides without worrying about the temperature, but it still gets dark early. By 5 pm, it’s usually dusk. There is a built-in rear reflector on the backrest of the seat. It’s helpful when we go for evening rides. I don’t spend a lot of time near roads, but there are two crossing that I wouldn’t feel comfortable making without the reflector. The seat also comes with an adjustable 3-point harness and 13 position adjustable footrests that include safety straps.

We’ve yet to take photos while biking and using the child bike seat. It’s our time together and taking a picture is the last thing on my mind. The 10+ child bike seat gives me peace of mind knowing that Athena is safely enjoying her ride and her extra time with Mommy.
