5 Day USVI Itinerary

USVI Views

From lush mountain ranges to turquoise waters, the USVI are picture perfect. Each of the three major islands has a unique character all its own. Fortunately, I was able to explore both St. Thomas and St. John. I’ll have to make another trip back to experience St. Croix but the vistas on St. Thomas and St. John left me awe-struck and wanting more. Besides endless natural beauty, the Virgin Islands offer unique adventures and scrumptious dining, but with so many choices it’s difficult to choose. Travel Tips for visiting the USVI:

Driving
Motorists drive on the left side of the street. All U.S. drivers can drive for up to 90 days with a current driver’s license. Driver and front seat passengers must wear seat belts at all times.

Virgin Islands law prohibits the use of cell phones without an earpiece while driving. Please use an earpiece or you will be ticketed.

Dress Code

Dress is casual, but proper attire (shirts and shoes) should be worn in public areas. Bathing suits are worn at the beach and pool only.

Street Smarts

Visitors should exercise the same safety precautions used when traveling anywhere else in the world. Lock your hotel door or car when you exit. Don’t answer the door in a hotel without verifying who it is. Place all valuables in the hotel’s safe deposit box. Be aware of your surroundings, particularly after dark, and stay in well-lighted areas.

Sun Protections

Although constant tradewinds help to keep you cool it’s very important to protect yourself from the intense Caribbean sun.  Be sure to apply sunscreen frequently and wear a hat and sunglasses to protect your head, skin and eyes.

Trunk Bay Beach, St. John
