2015 Bucket List

2015 Bucket List

We are all capable of astounding things. On my 2015 bucket list, I want to learn more, push the limits, develop new skills and enhance old ones. I want my life to be a magnificent story. I want my daily life to be better than my dreams. Every year, I create a list that seems completely unrealistic. Then, I start crossing things off and before I know it, I’m half way done. It gives me the push to continue. It isn’t about crossing off every item; it’s more about pushing limits and dreaming about the possibilities.

This is such an awesome bucket list and I love how much you’ve completed so far!

    My list includes:

    1. Focus on healing my back injury (do my rehab exercises consistently, visit more specialists, etc. – focus on the improvements not the cost)
    2. Be able to work out comfortably again (running, lifting, yoga, pilates, boxing, etc.)
    3. Take my dog, Sasha, on an adventurous new hike (local or otherwise)
    4. Gain a following on my new Blog and Facebook page – MazingMelissa
    5. Inspire people through lifestyle, beauty, fitness, travel, and more
    6. Buy a plane ticket to Hawaii (Since one of my best friends is moving there this summer)
    7. Learn a new skill (coding or enhance my photography skills)
    8. Create and follow a budget (to take eliminate things like eating out too much and allow for more travel opportunities)
    9. Clean and fully redecorate my apartment
    10. Go camping
    11. Reunite with some family members
    12. Practice better weekly cleaning habits
    13. Study to become better at my new job
    14. Begin reading for pleasure again
    15. Save up to independently travel out of the country for my 25th birthday (April 2015)

      Great bucket list!

I hope you have complete success with your rehab.

Did you make it out of the country for your birthday? I was thinking about you today so I thought I’d ask.

      🙂

Wow, that is an impressive bucket list! I like your attitude.

My list is far more modest, if only work and mortgages did not get in the way!

I have visited Iceland (sadly no Northern Lights so that’s still to do), have been to the Milan football derby, stayed in my first AirBnB (highly recommended), stayed in Montmartre (again!!) & saw ballet in La Scala.

Highlights to come – driving in Normandy & Brittany (next week, hurrah!), having my first travel book published (very soon), taking my wife to Asia (Cambodia, Laos, Thailand), visiting Angkor Wat, New York in December, going to a Jazz Festival (Chaka Khan, Nena Cherry and lots more) and seeing Paul Weller play.

I am in absolute awe of you list! And I REALLY want to go Gorilla Trekking!!!! How is the house hunting going?

    1. Lesley says:

      Hi Dana,

Gorilla trekking in Uganda was one of the greatest adventures of my life. While I was in Uganda, I also went chimpanzee trekking, saw tree-climbing lions, went on a safari, saw hippos, elephants, giraffes, zebras, crocodiles and buffalo in the wild and hike a volcano. It is a place filled with unique experiences around every corner. You definitely have to go. Have you been to Africa before?

The house hunting in complete! We move in on June 30th. I couldn’t be more excited. 🙂

I second the shock and awe – how will you get through that list in one year? I would be happy to do all of those things over a 5-year period. You have some really fun and unique experiences on the list. Very adventurous!

Great list but how do you find the time to do all of this?!! On my bucket list it would probably be mostly things in China as i’m not sure how much longer i’ll be here so I want to make sure I see as much as possible before I leave!

  20. WOW! that list is impressive! my list is small this year. we are all about spending as much time together as we can. We want to do better at being a “tourist in our own town” here in Vancouver. As well as visit nearby Victoria and Seattle a few times! the BIG one for me is to get over the “fear” of traveling open-ended. i hope to actually take the plunge in Jan 2016!

    It’s more a ‘to do’ list 🙂
