Multi-Way Designs Perfect for Travel

Chrysalis Cardi Maxi multi-way designs

There’s nothing that makes me happier when I’m packing for a trip than to have as little as possible. I make that happen with multi-way designs that are perfect for travel. I found a lot of companies that offer multi-way designs but they don’t always fit well or look good on my body type. That’s why I’d like to introduce you to Encircled. Encircled makes thoughtfully-designed, versatile clothing so you can travel lighter in comfort and with style. I have the Chrysalis Cardi Maxi and it can be  worn eight different ways to become a wardrobe staple.

From a cozy cocoon cardi, to a chic Grecian tunic, a glamorous one-shoulder gown, to a poncho, and a classic infinity scarf, The Chrysalis Cardi can be styled at least eight different ways. The secret is the hand-sewn snaps hidden along the hemline that hold the looks together. Unlike traditional multi-way garments, Encircled designs don’t require pinning, tying, or elastics to hold the looks together.

The Chrysalis Cardi Maxi is made from Lenzing Modal blend fabric, created through an environmentally-conscious process in which 95% of production materials are recovered. Modal has 10 times the yield of cotton, uses significantly less water, and is free of harmful chemicals.

The Chrysalis Cardi comes with a belt, made from the same fabric, and a full-colour lookbook with diagrams. Snaps are made from high-quality, rust-resistant metal. They’re lead-free, nickel-free, and and recyclable.

The Chrysalis Cardi

I chose the Chrysalis Cardi Maxi in Ginger Mauve, but there are several color choices. To get the most out of the multi-way design, I’d suggest a neutral color like black. That way, you can add color to completely change the look while still wearing the same piece so many different ways.

I recently wore the Chrysalis Cardi Maxi to an event in Montreal. I chose the Grecian Tunic style and it was super easy to do. I made sure all snaps were undone and placed the dress onto a flat surface, making sure the top edge with four snaps was facing up. Starting with the shoulders, I snapped together the closest male and female snaps to each other. I pulled my head through the center opening and put my arms through smaller side openings and adjusted by moving the snaps onto the top of my shoulders. I adjusted the drape in the front for a higher neckline and secured the belt high around my waist. That was it! I loved the way the dress flowed and I controlled the neckline and belt location for the perfect fit. There is a tag on the dress that explains the entire process or you can watch the How To videos on the Encircled website.

The Chrysalis Cardi MaxiNow that the weather is getting cooler, I like to wear the Chrysalis Cardi Maxi as a scarf, a cape, and a wrap. With so many style options, it can be worn in any season.

Multi-way designs are the way to go for travelers that like to pack light, especially when they look and feel as good as the Chrysalis Cardi Maxi.
