Tips for Visiting Beaches Turks & Caicos

Stay in the Italian Village at Beaches Turks & Caicos

Beaches Turks & Caicos

Everything in the Italian village has Italian flair from the fountains and statues to the cuisine. It’s like staying on the Italian Riviera with a Caribbean twist but it’s the prime location that makes it our top choice for families. The sprawling pool and turquoise ocean waters are all within steps. The same can be said for magnificent dining, the kids club, and the waterpark. They are all within your sights.

The Italian Concierge Family Suite with Kids Room is the perfect fit for families. It features a king size bed, lounge sleeping chair, 42″ flat screen TV plus a bar area with its own refrigerator and microwave. Kids enjoy bunk beds with a trundle, a 27″ flat screen TV, a multi-function game table, a built-in storage wall unit, closet space, and a vanity unit with basin and mirror. Bathroom hosts a two-basin vanity, a whirlpool tub, a separate shower, and a private water closet.

The prime location and suite options make the Italian Village the best fit for families. You can’t go wrong with an of the villages but if you truly want to be at the heart of the resort, the Italian Village is the place to be.

Book Snorkel and Glass Bottom Boat Trips

Tours at Beaches Turks & Caicos

One of my favorite things about Beaches Turks & Caicos is the amount of ocean activities that are included. Every water sport imaginable is included along with top-of-the-line equipment and professional instruction. Beaches includes a full range of water sports like: kayaks, windsurfing, hydro bikes, snorkeling, Hobie Cats, and paddleboarding.

Beaches also offers one of the most comprehensive scuba diving programs anywhere and it’s all included. For those already certified, you’ll be able to enjoy up to two dives a day, with the option to choose other unforgettable dives.

Additionally, there are glass bottom boat trips and snorkeling trips that are included. I’d strongly suggest booking your glass bottom boat trip and your snorkeling trip on arrival day. You can book through the concierge but an even more efficient option is booking directly at the dive shop. They will explain times and instructions and you’ll know exactly where to go for your experience.

I’d also suggest making reservations for Kimonos, a vibrant restaurant that serves up the exotic cuisines of the Far East in a most interactive and impressive way. Very few restaurants require reservations at Beaches Turks & Caicos but it’s definitely worth a visit.

Walk up the Beach for Snorkeling

The beach directly in front of Beaches Turks & Caicos is marvelous. The calm waters are fun for children and adults. The soft sand is a treat for your feet and the abundance of lounge chairs keep you in paradise even when you’re out of the water. If you walk about five minutes left of the resort, though, you will reach a reef area that is protected by orange buoys. You can follow the bouys and the underwater trail to snorkel around the reef and experience a variety of marine life and colorful fish. It never gets very deep or far from shore, making it wonderful for families and beginner snorkelers.

You can get a snorkel and mask from the dive shop before making your way up the beach or bring your own. If you arrive in the early morning hours, you might see a lot of turtles heading out to the ocean. It’s worth waking up early.

Early Morning on the Beach

It’s also worth waking up early to enjoy the beach in front of the resort. Most mornings, we had the whole beach to ourselves. The waters were calm and it was a refreshing way to start the day.

Utilize the Kids Camp

I love spending time with Athena on vacation. We always have so much fun in the water or discovering new adventures but finding a balance between kid time and adult time is key on vacation. That’s why we both love the Kids Camp. Beaches Turks & Caicos give kids extra attention with tailor-made fun just for them. They’re always supervised and get to enjoy the company of other children their age.

When you first bring your child to Kids Camp, you’ll need to bring their passport for registration. It’s a quick, easy process and then you’re free to utilize the activities.

All nannies and Kids Camp staffers at Beaches Resorts are members of the International Nanny Association. Activities include swimming, beach volleyball, beach soccer, scavenger hunts, glass bottom boat rides, pizza making, reggae jam sessions, and an unbelievable array of incredible options! At Beaches, they’re dedicated to making sure that children have a blast.

Make Time for the Waterpark

Beaches Turks & Caicos Waterpark

The Pirates Island Waterpark at Beaches Turks & Caicos is a fantasy world filled with gigantic waterslides, kid-friendly pools, water cannons, whirlpools, a lazy river, the Caribbean’s only surf simulator, and swim-up soda bars.

When we first arrived, we decided to walk over and check it out. Four hours later, we were still there and we didn’t want to leave. You could spend your entire vacation at the waterpark and still not run out of fun for the whole family.

Don’t Miss Sunset on the Beach

Sunset at Beaches Turks & Caicos

Once you see a sunset at Beaches Turks & Caicos, you will compare all other sunsets to it. The combination of soft, white sand, turquoise waters, and pink sky will make you question whether you’re dreaming or awake.

The best way to catch the sunset while optimizing your time is to dine at one of the beach restaurants where dinner with a view is taken to new heights.

Beaches Turks & Caicos

For everyone who has ever dreamed of a tropical getaway filled with unique experiences and family-fun around every corner, Beaches Turks & Caicos is the place for you. Don’t forget to explore the property for hidden gems like the Mac & Cheese food truck or the ice cream shop. You never know what fun is waiting for you at Beaches Turks & Caicos.
