I never imagined I would be looking for a stroller again. Baby number two was a huge surprise, especially since it’s been eight years since Athena was born, but I have more knowledge now about what to expect and what to look for in baby gear and products. Joovy was my go-to baby company when Athena was younger and they were my first choice in strollers this time around. I opted for the Joovy Qool because it is the ultimate stroller system. Check out these ten things I love about the Joovy Qool stroller.
Ten Things I Love About The Joovy Qool Stroller
Number One: Forward or Parent-Facing
This stroller is modular and can be used forward-facing or parent-facing. Sometimes children like to watch their parents while other times they like to watch the crowd or activities unfolding in front of them. You can decide with the Joovy Qool. Simply push two buttons to release the seat and you can face it in either direction.
Number Two: Over 50 Ways to Customize
Your kids’ preferences change quickly so your stroller should too. The Joovy Qool grows from a single to double to triple in one stroller. The Joovy Qool has a ton of optional accessories and add-ons to make your stroller exactly what you need it to be. With over 50 different configurations, it’s easy to find the right configuration for your family and change it up as your family and situations change. Here are a few of our favorites:
Bench Seats for Big Kids
You can add a bench seat with a simple click-in installation and seat kids up to 55 lbs on the stroller.
The bassinet is the perfect accessory to use during baby’s first few months. Safe for babies up to 20 lbs and lined with super soft fabric, the bassinet is stylish and functional. Attaching the bassinet to the stroller is really simple and it allows your baby to lie completely flat, meaning you can use it from birth.
Already have a removable infant car seat? It may be compatible with the Qool, using the adapters. The Qool is compatible with many of the most popular car seat brands, including Britax, Chicco, Cybex, Graco, BOB B-Safe, Maxi Cosi, and Nuna.
Need a Second Seat? Grab a set of front adapters for the most customizable stroller you’ll ever own.
No-Kick Snack Tray
Other trays get kicked by tiny feet on the way in and out, but the Qool tray swings out of the way.
Number Three: Weight
The stroller is so easy to lift into my SUV and much lighter than it looks. Breaking it down or opening it up is a breeze and takes about 5 seconds. Weighing in at 30.6 lbs, it’s lightweight yet doesn’t give up any of it’s safety or comfort features.
Number Four: Safety
The Qool has a 5 point harness system to hold your child tight and safe. It has a removable swing-away bumper bar that is covered with leather and it’s included. The foot brake is located in the back between rear wheels which is very friendly and easy to use.
Number Five: Wheels and Maneuverability
The Qool rolls on four hard rubber wheels with front-wheel suspension, providing a reasonably smooth ride even on more uneven surfaces. The tires are tough enough for bumpy roads and the wheels are sealed against dirt and debris. The front wheels are swivel, but can be locked straight if the terrain gets tough.
Number Six: Handle and Fold
The Qool has a leatherette handlebar for a grip that doesn’t split over time, like foam. The adjustable telescoping handlebar goes all the way from 36″ to 41″ from the ground so you never have to hunch.
Click one button and push the handle down and that’s all there is to closing it up for storage. It can be folded down tightly with the seat in about five seconds.
The fold is very easy and compact. You can fold it with the seat attached facing forward or backward, but it will be more compact when you remove the seat.
To fold it with the seat attached, first bring the bumper bar down and push the back of the seat forward. Next, push two buttons on the side of the frame and bring the handle bar forward. That’s it.
Number Seven: Easy-Access Extra-Large Basket
Storage is plentiful and easy to access in the bottom of the stroller. You can stash your diaper bag, toys, snacks and drinks, blankets, purse, and whatever else needed for your day in the basket. No need to pile things on top of the tray or carry an extra bag. It will all fit in the extra large basket.
Number Eight: Comfort
The seat is really cozy with a gel-like liner and the shoulder harness is easily adjustable for different sizes. The wheels have excellent shock absorption and the stroller handles well on varied surfaces.
Joovy made the fabric inside the Qool bassinet super plush and soft as well so your baby will be comfort from the first use.
Number Nine: Weather Protection + Visibility
The Qool offers a big canopy for sun protection with a window big enough to check on your child.
Additionally, you can add-on a rain cover that is ventilated and see-through so your kid never misses any of the fun and stays dry.
Number Ten: The Look
It’s a sleek looking stroller and looks high-end without the high-end price. If you’re ever finished with the stroller, it could easily be passed on to family or friends for continued use.
