Positive Affirmations During Pregnancy and Labor

Pregnancy Affirmations

Pregnancy and labor come with many challenges especially during this time of the Coronavirus pandemic. Receiving monthly Oh Baby Boxes has been an encouraging way to stay positive and focused during my pregnancy. In the last two boxes that I received, there were positive affirmations for pregnancy and birth. They remind me to see the positives right now and I thought it would be nice to share some of my favorite positive affirmations with you. I included a mix of birthing affirmations and new mama affirmations to lift you up and remind you that you got this, regardless of the circumstances.

The Birthing Affirmations will help you visualize and manifest the birth of your dreams. There are 30 cards designed to inspire, comfort, and empower mamas and rewire negative or fearful thoughts to build confidence in the birthing process. The New Ma Ma Affirmations are short, encouraging, and easy to memorize. They are perfect for a quick pick-me-up on a busy day. Even though I’m not in labor and the baby isn’t here yet, the cards have been very encouraging during my last month of pregnancy. They have also been extremely encouraging during the last couple of weeks of the Coronavirus while Athena is learning online and at home all day and my work plans have been completely turned upside down.

Parent Affirmations

The is a great reminder for all parents right now. Each day this week, I tried to balance Athena’s school work, my work, cooking, cleaning, spending time with my husband, preparing the baby essentials, and staying physically active all while managing the struggles of late pregnancy like back pain and tiredness. I posted this card on the fridge as a daily reminder that there is no such thing as perfect but I’m doing a pretty darn good job of being a mom right now.

Pregnancy Affirmations

I’m not in labor yet but this affirmation couldn’t have come at a better time. My back has been hurting for weeks and the sleepless nights are catching up to me and the baby isn’t even here yet. When I get discouraged, I need to remind myself that I will soon have a beautiful baby boy to hold and cherish. There is nothing that I can’t handle for him.

Positive Affirmations from Oh Baby Boxes

No matter what, I can do it! My family was suppose to arrive in a couple weeks for the baby’s birth but they were forced to cancel because of the virus. Athena was going to join us at the hospital during the birth, but children under 16 are no longer allowed in the hospital. I was looking forward to Athena being in school during this time so I could catch up on rest and prepare for the baby’s arrival; instead, I’m teaching her during this time because all of the schools have closed. We are confined to the house and limiting any contact with others to stay healthy. It’s all been a challenge but we can do it. I remind myself of the positives daily and take the rest one step at a time.
