Lion Country Safari is known for it’s drive-through safari with hundreds of animals, but it also offers animal encounters, animal feeding experiences, amusement park rides, a water playground, boat tours, and dining. It was the best of all of our favorite family-friendly parks combined into one destination.

Lion Country Safari has over 900 wild animals including lions, giraffe, zebras, and rhinos. At Lion Country Safari, large herds of animals from 6 continents roam free on safari, while humans visiting are enclosed in their vehicles.

After visiting the four-mile drive-through safari, guests can explore Safari World Amusement Park, which is included in your admission. Also included in your admission is a waterpark, rides, and shows.

Additionally, there is giraffe feeding and bird feeding for a small fee. And you can’t forget the super friendly and knowledgeable staff.

South Florida Science Center And Aquarium

South Florida Science Center And Aquarium

Serving Palm Beach County since 1961, the Science Center revolves around a simple premise: science is exciting! Science means adventure and exploration and they deliver on this promise.

Within the last 10 years, South Florida Science Center And Aquarium dramatically renovated their campus including a complete reconstruction of their 5,000 square foot Hall of Discovery, containing 100 new hands-on exhibits, an upgraded planetarium, 1,000 square foot early childhood exhibit, modernized theater, new science laboratory, and improved amenities.

Additionally, they offer an 18-hole miniature golf course, a quarter-mile-long trail that connects 15 exhibits, including a Physics Forest, FPL SolarScape, interactive splash pad, gem panning station, and a dinosaur walk. Their open-air amphitheater features daily live science shows, trivia sessions, and concerts.

Rapids Water Park is 35-acres of fun for the young and young at heart. The park includes a wave pool, 42 water slides, and a quarter mile lazy river.

The cool thing about the park is that the little child-friendly details go a long way. In the lazy river, their are tubes for kids. At Barefootin Bay, a large pineapple tipping bucket rings for several seconds before it spills so little children that are nervous have a chance to get out of the splash of water.
