Delicious Restaurants in Phoenix
Postino South Tempe
One of our favorite restaurants in Phoenix is Postino South Tempe.
Postino began 20 years ago with a vision and some homegrown determination. It has become a staple in the Phoenix community and is built on the foundation of unique, approachable wines; simple, delicious food prepared with local ingredients; and a warm, edgy culture that brings everyone together.
Their wide selection of bruschetta, cheese boards, and paninis are local favorites along with their iconic happy hour.
Each location is set in historically relevant buildings integral to the neighborhoods that surround them serving a mission to make every moment they’re a part of, one that leaves people feeling crazy-good.
If we had to suggest just one thing at Postino, it would be a Bruschetta Board with at least one Brie, Apple & Fig Spread. It was the best thing that I eat the entire trip to Phoenix.
The Churchill
The Churchill is located in the heart of the Roosevelt Row Arts District. The open-air shipping container design is the first of its kind in Phoenix and is a unique attraction for locals and tourists alike.
Ten small businesses with local roots encompass a communal courtyard intended for dining, drinking, socializing, shopping and learning. In addition to hosting weekly service outings, artisan pop-ups, community events, and continuous non-profit fundraisers, each tenant completes at least four hours of community service each month as part of their ‘social rent.’
The structure was formed using reclaimed shipping containers as part of our commitment to sustainability.
I wish every city and town had such a community-driven gathering place. I think we can learn a lot from The Churchill.
ComicX
ComicX is an experiential lively restaurant, bar, and store at Desert Ridge Marketplace where comic book and superhero fans of all ages can come together and dine amongst character memorabilia and life-sized comic book figurines.
While ComicX’s atmosphere resembles that of a wax museum, movie set or a theme park, it is a full-service restaurant offering a menu featuring delicious American pub fare classics like salads, burgers, sandwiches, desserts and more.
The desserts are family-sized and you’re encouraged to share. The Ice Cream Man Kart is large enough to be a meal in itself, and the Incredible Churro Bowl is almost too beautiful to eat.
Adult guests are welcomed to enjoy unique, on-theme cocktails in the bar area and guests of all ages can enjoy the restaurant’s complimentary video game station and dine amongst cinematic displays on both the main floor and upstairs levels.
The Sicilian Butcher
The Sicilian Butcher is a chef-driven neighborhood restaurant developed by Celebrity Chef, Joey Maggiore. The modern-casual meatball and charcuterie-inspired concept is the first of its kind to launch in Phoenix.
The Sicilian Butcher is centered on a build-your-own meatball meal experience with hand-rolled meatballs made daily, made-from-scratch pasta and Sicilian-style charcuterie boards.
I’d suggest going hungry because even their child-sized portions are large and their desserts can’t be missed either.
Daily Dose Old Town
Daily Dose is a popular eatery known for their made-from-scratch cinnamon roll pancakes, breakfast nachos, banana bread French toast, and hangover sandwich.
Specialty cocktails like the Spicy Watermelon Margarita and the Bacon Bloody Mary use the freshest ingredients, and spiked coffees are a fun menu addition.
Craft beer lovers will appreciate the assortment of brews.
Prep & Pastry
Prep & Pastry believes in serving only the best food available which is why they use only locally sourced ingredients.
The bright and modern décor is almost as beautiful as the modern cocktails, flavorful dishes and warm flaky pastries.
