A lot of Caribbean resorts have a number of features that make them family-friendly, but Finest Punta Cana is one of my favorite Caribbean properties for traveling with a toddler. There are so many aspects that make it particularly toddler-friendly like the size of the resort, the staff, and the amenities. Here’s what it’s like to travel to Finest Punta Cana with a toddler.
Finest Punta Cana with A Toddler
The beach is located directly in front of the resort and there are plenty of chairs and umbrellas to stay shaded and comfortable. Max loved having a towel set up next to a lounger, under an umbrella, and playing in the sand for hours.
It was also super toddler-friendly to have beach toys to use that were given to use by the staff. The sand is well-manicured and perfect for toddler fun.
The playground is located directly in the center of the property for easy access from all rooms and suites. It’s not massive but it has the perfect equipment for toddlers to explore and have fun in a safe environment. Max loved climbing and running around and the ground is made of toddler-friendly materials to avoid scrapes and cuts.
There are two colorful slides, climbing ropes, and a number of climbing areas for toddlers to enjoy. Max loved meeting other kids there too. It was a very social gathering place.
The are a total of seven pools on-site at Finest Punta Cana, including the massive beachside main pool that has splash pools and games for little ones and a swim up bar for the adults. There is also one regular section pool, two pools next to suite buildings, two exclusive Excellence Club pools, and one exclusive Finest Club pool, in addition to outdoor hot water whirlpools.
The main pool offers a massive splash, bounce mountain in the pool that is just waiting to be conquered. If your toddlers aren’t quite ready for the giant bounce mountain, there is a smaller one in a toddler-sized pool directly next to it.
All pools also have steps and ledges that make them extra comfortable for kids.
The Kids Club
When you want to get out of the Caribbean heat during the day, the Kids Club is the perfect place for curious toddlers to play and enjoy plenty of indoor activities and fun.
For babies and toddlers, parental supervision is required at the Finest Kids Club, but there is a space created especially for little ones and parents to play together. There are splash pools and shaded areas as well as comfortable amenities like a kitchenette and a naptime room.
The Splash Park at the Kids Club
The is a splash park at the Kids Club and another one located in the center of the property near the main pool for toddlers to enjoy water fun within being in a pool.
The staff at Finest Punta Cana do an excellent job catering to both children and adults. They make it easy to cross items off of your Finest Punta Cana bucket list.
We loved the beach staff who always helped pull the stroller to a comfortable spot on the beach. They also provided water, sunscreen, and beach toys for Max.
The Size of the Property
Unlike a number of other Punta Cana properties, Finest Punta Cana isn’t a massive property. They still provide a variety of suites, restaurants, and entertainment but you don’t need to take a shuttle to get from one location to another. It’s a quaint property that is easily walkable for all ages.
Besides being a smaller property, Finest Punta Cana also does an excellent job with accessibility. There is a boardwalk that leads around the entire property, including along the beach so it is very stroller-friendly.
There is nowhere on the property that I couldn’t visit with max on foot or in his stroller.
