Quebec City has some of my favorite restaurants and food in the world. I would travel for an entire day just to have the squeaky cheese curds and brown gravy on fresh cut fries or just as long for the fresh tastes of the Boréal forest. There are so many delicious choices to put on your Quebec City bucket list that it can be very difficult to choose. We created a list of the best restaurants in Quebec City to help make the process a little easier for you. Bon Appétit!

Le SAM

Le SAM

Le Sam is located at the famous Fairmont Le Château Frontenac, one of the most photographed hotels in the world. Le Sam is an experience unto itself, including an amazing view of the St. Lawrence River. Its menu features local products, in a bistro style that will delight the taste buds of all guests.

The restaurant showcases some of Québec’s hottest culinary trends and ingredients. The culinary team focuses on local products to create the menus, and everything from start to finish is artfully prepared.

Chez Ashton

When I asked a local tour guide for the best place to get poutine in Quebec City, Chez Ashton was on the top of his list, and I agree.

Poutine is Chez Ashton’s flagship dish, and everything is made to order with local ingredients. The potatoes used to make the fries are from l’Île d’Orléans, and they are hand-cut every day. The cheese curds are squeaky fresh, and the sauces are made in house.

La Bûche

La Bûche restaurantLa Buche is one of my favorite, must-experience restaurants in Québec City to enjoy a traditional Québec cuisine with a current touch.

The festive atmosphere is always lively and welcoming and the poutine is my favorite anywhere in the world. Maple taffy on snow is available all year long, and the deserts are note-worthy as the poutine.

Le Clan

The Le Clan restaurant offers an unparalleled gastronomic experience. Inspired by hunting and fishing, Le Clan puts local Québec products at the forefront.

The chef works intrinsically with several local producers to offer unique products to which he wants to pay tribute through his cuisine.
