Youngest American to Visit All Seven Continents

Over the last decade, I’ve been to more than 100 countries and tried every bucket list adventure I could dream up including racing Formula One cars, skydiving, performing aerobatics in a biplane, swimming with great white sharks, sailing on tall ships, and piloting a fighter jet. I’ve been to all seven continents and witnessed many of the great wonders of the world, but I have never broken a record before. Now, I have the opportunity to do that with my son, Max. Max is about to become the youngest American to visit all seven continents. Check out the journey that led us to this point.

Max Smith is About to Become the Youngest American to Visit All 7 Continents

Max was born in Frisco, Texas on April 13, 2020. Since his birth, he has visited 15 countries and 16 states in the US.

White Sands National Park, New MexicoIn North America, the place Max calls home, he’s found thrills in 16 states and six countries. From riding sand dunes in New Mexico to sailing on tall ships in Maine, Max has crossed off more bucket list adventures than most adults. He’s cruised on the largest cruise ship in the world, learned to ski in Colorado, experienced lobster fishing in Maine, rode horses in Texas, and raced go-karts in Oklahoma. His love of animals led him to swimming with stingrays, feeding rhinos, giraffes, elephants, llamas, and goats, snorkeling with sharks, and interacting with penguins and sea lions.

Arabian Adventures DubaiWhile in Asia, Max swam at the largest water park in Dubai, held a falcon, surfed sand dunes, and rode camels. He stayed at Atlantis, The Palm, Dubai’s most iconic resort and Four Seasons Resort Dubai at Jumeirah Beach, a luxurious 5-star resort with stunning views.

Equator in UgandaHis African tour with Africa Adventure Safaris was filled with wild animals ranging from tree-climbing lions to hundreds of hippos. Max also trekked zebra on foot and met the Gorilla Guardians Chief. He crossed the international border between Uganda and Rwanda; and he even straddled the equator.

Galway Bay Boat TourIn Europe, Max passed sheep and castles on the way to the Cliffs of Moher. He sailed on Galway Bay and danced a local jig in one of the most famous pubs. Starting in Dublin, Ireland, he explored from coast to coast with stops in Cork, Galway, Limerick, Clifden, and Sligo.

One-on-One Nanny Time at Jean Michel Cousteau ResortMax enjoyed the laid-back life in Oceania. He visited Jean-Michel Cousteau Resort, Fiji where he took daily boat trips, hiked to a waterfall, and snorkeled with thousands of fish including sharks.

Aitcho IslandsMax will visit the final two continents in February, 2023. We’ll board Celebrity Cruises’ Infinity cruise for a 14 Night Antarctica cruise that visits Argentina, Falkland Islands, Uruguay, and Antarctica.

He will visit all seven continents before his third birthday.

Max will not remember his travels from this age, but his experiences and exposure to different cultures and countries will shape him into a worldly, accepting, social child. Those values and appreciation for the world will follow him throughout his life.

The more unrealistic we are with our dreams and goals the more we are able to achieve.

This is just the beginning of Max’s travels. With plans to visit 30 countries in Europe this summer, there will be more record-breaking adventures to come.
