Our Remarkable Dream Caribbean Blue Charter Experience

Dream Caribbean Blue

Some days feel like they’re pulled straight out of a dream—and our day aboard Out of the Blue with Dream Caribbean Blue was exactly that. Although it was just a single day, it overflowed with magic, joy, and unforgettable moments. It was one of those experiences that left us grinning from ear to ear, hearts full, and already dreaming of when we can do it all again.

From the moment we stepped aboard, we were welcomed with genuine warmth by our incredible captain, Dane, and the talented onboard chef, Olga. Their presence immediately set the tone for what would become one of the most memorable days of our entire trip. We were made to feel right at home, as if we were stepping into a floating haven curated just for us. If you’re looking to cross items off our your British Virgin Islands bucket list, this is where to start.

The Vessel

Out of the Blue catamaran with Dream Caribbean BlueOut of the Blue is the kind of catamaran that turns heads—modern, sleek, and equipped with every comfort you can imagine. She sleeps up to eight in absolute style, with three spacious queen cabins and a sprawling master cabin for anyone needing a little extra space to unwind. Every detail is dialed in—from solar panels and eco-friendly toiletries to air conditioning, a full-sized fridge, and a bar stocked to our preferences.

But it wasn’t just the amenities that made Out of the Blue special—it was how it felt. Comfortable, vibrant, and filled with possibility.

The People

Captain Dane’s passion for sailing runs deep. Raised on Virgin Gorda, his connection to these waters is both personal and profound. As we sailed past pristine cays and sparkling turquoise seas, he shared stories of his adventures—from sailing a 100-year-old schooner in the Arctic Ocean to racing across the Atlantic—and peppered in local secrets about the BVI that we never would have discovered otherwise. He even snorkeled first with me, and then later with Cassie, so one of us could stay on board with Max. That level of care and thoughtfulness meant the world to us.

Olga, our chef and magic-maker in the galley, absolutely blew us away with her fresh, flavorful meals. Breakfast and lunch were prepared right on the boat and ended up being some of the best food we had the entire trip—simple, delicious, and made with love. She brings a global flair to her cooking, drawing inspiration from her travels and infusing every bite with creativity. Her meals were more than food—they were a reflection of her joy, and they made the whole experience feel that much more special.

The Day

Willy T's BVIOur journey took us to the legendary Norman Island, where we snorkeled through the caves—mysterious, beautiful, and full of life. The reefs were vibrant and teeming with color, and sharing that moment with our captain as our guide made it even more memorable.

Afterwards, we anchored near Willy T’s, the iconic floating restaurant and bar. We took turns climbing to the top deck and leaping into the sea with wild laughter. It was the perfect mix of adrenaline and island fun, and one of those moments you replay again and again in your mind.

In between adventures, we soaked up the sun on the deck, floated on the water using the catamaran’s water toys, and shared stories and laughter with our amazing crew. It was the perfect blend of adventure, serenity, and heartfelt connection.

The Feeling

Dream Caribbean BlueBy the time we sailed back toward the dock, the golden light of late afternoon washing over the water, it was clear: this day was something truly special. A perfect mix of thoughtful touches, breathtaking scenery, incredible people, and a whole lot of heart.

If you’re ever dreaming of a day (or many) on the water in the BVI, Out of the Blue is more than just a charter—it’s a floating invitation to experience the islands the way they’re meant to be seen. From the sea, with soul.

We came aboard as guests. We left feeling like family.
