After years of traveling the world with my two kids, I’ve learned that finding the perfect hotel for families—especially in a bustling city like Paris—is no easy feat. But every now and then, we land somewhere that feels like it was designed just for us. Renaissance Paris Arc de Triomphe is one of those rare gems. If you’re planning a trip to Paris with your family, especially with a Go City pass in hand, I can’t recommend it enough.
Location, Location, Location – Especially with Go City!
The Renaissance Arc de Triomphe is ideally located just steps from one of the main pick-up and drop-off points for the Big Bus Tour, which is included in the Go City Paris Pass. If you’re like us and want to see as much of the city as possible without dragging tired kids through endless metro stations, this is a huge perk. We were able to hop on the Big Bus each morning with zero hassle and return right to our hotel door when we were done sightseeing. No long walks, no stress—just convenience.
A Warm and Thoughtful Welcome
When we walked into our suite, it honestly felt like walking into a warm hug. The staff had gone out of their way to make our arrival magical. Max had an adorable activity pack waiting for him—filled with coloring pages, games, and treats—which kept him smiling and busy while we settled in. Athena and I were welcomed with a beautiful display featuring personal photos from our travels and a custom list of activities curated just for us. It felt like the hotel truly saw us—not just as guests, but as a family with our own rhythm and story.
The Room: Parisian Perfection
Our suite was stunning. Cozy, elegant, and filled with thoughtful details that made it feel like home. But the real showstopper? The balcony. With lovely views over the city, it felt like a secret garden in the sky—peaceful and serene, a rare find in the heart of Paris. Mornings began with a steaming cup of coffee while the city slowly woke up around us. Evenings were spent lounging with the kids, soaking in the golden light. It was our quiet retreat after days full of adventure.
Staff That Go the Extra Mile
One of the most memorable parts of our stay was the exceptional staff. From the front desk to housekeeping, everyone was warm, welcoming, and always ready to help. They offered us maps, local tips, and personal recommendations for everything from casual cafés to kid-friendly museums. Their genuine friendliness made us feel completely at ease, and it’s clear they take pride in creating a great experience for families.
Breakfast Dreams Do Come True
Let’s talk breakfast—because wow. Traveling with a picky eater like Max means breakfast can often be a battle, but not here. The hotel’s morning spread was an absolute dream. From freshly-made pancakes (Max’s favorite) to croissants, crêpes, and endless pastries, there was something for everyone. Athena was fascinated by the honeycomb station, and I loved the variety of cheeses and fresh fruit. The quality was exceptional, and the atmosphere was relaxed and family-friendly—no rushed chaos, just a calm, delicious start to our day.
